"Experience" the ultimate mind-blowing spectacle!

Can a live album ever get across the staggering brilliance of an utterly mind-blowing spectacle? Daft Punk's Pyramid tour (or call-me Alive tour 2007), certainly the finest electronic/dance show of all time, is arguably one of the best live performances in any genre by any group -- and if you think otherwise, you weren't there. This recording of a Paris show certainly captures the massive energy generated by blending and tweaking their catalog into submission, but sound was only part of the experience. As such, this is an excellent souvenir, but what's really needed is a DVD and a time machine to see it all again.

If you want to see a video from their fantastic last June's show in Istanbul (I-was-there) click here!

ABSOLUT THESSALONIKI!

This is an aerial photo of "Aristotle Square" in Thessaloniki-Greece. The photo is made by the photographer Andy Glass (a year ago) and was shot in purpose to show the bottle of Absolut vodka. You can check out his work at his site www.andyglassphoto.com. The agency he co-operates with, used it for an outdoor ad that really came out in Thessaloniki. What is more amazing about it, is the fact that there has been almost no retouching of the photo. Aristotle square in Thessaloniki actually looks exactly like this! Amazing coincidence!

Kanye West Medley

If you listened Kanye West's latest album "Graduation" over 100 times as I did then you will really appreciate this "piano medley". These melodies are always in my mind. I would also like to express my sincerest condolences for the loss of Kanye West's mother...

This is the best place to be...

...and its name is Santorini island in Greece!

Britney's new album is unexpectedly good

It's kind of crazy but I do like the new album of Britney Spears "Blackout" and it seems that I'm not the only one. Most of the critics are positive and why not? Her album is full of future hits. The sound is fresh and different and even her voice sounds awkwardly decent for her standards. The quality of the whole package makes me wonder if she helped at all in its creation...

Play this web game and do something good for the world...

An internet word game has generated enough rice to feed 50,000 people for one day, the UN's World Food Programme (WFP) has said.

The game, FreeRice, tests the vocabulary of participants. For each click on a correct answer, the website donates money to buy 10 grains of rice.

Companies advertising on the website provide the money to the WFP to buy and distribute the rice. from bbcnews.com

Gisele 'rejects dollar pay'

The world's richest model has reportedly reacted in her own way to the sliding value of the US dollar - by refusing to be paid in the currency.

Gisele Bündchen is said to be keen to avoid the US currency because of uncertainty over its strength.

According to Brazil's weekly magazine Veja, when Ms Bündchen signed a deal to represent Pantene hair products, she demanded that the brand owner, Procter & Gamble (P&G), paid her in euros.

There are also reports that she will be paid in euros for a deal with Dolce & Gabbana to promote its The One fragrance.

"Contracts starting now are more attractive in euros, because we don't know what will happen to the dollar," Patricia Bündchen told Bloomberg. from bbcnews.com

Go go euro! :-)

I'm back...

...to blogging!

After a long time of "no-posting" it's time to return back to action. As a soldier (serving my country -Greece- in the Air Force) I had to be away from my base and be trained for Air Force policeman. I successfully graduated and from now on you will be able to see more interesting news, videos and photos from what interests me (if you will browse this blog you will see what I mean by that).

No more talking, let's continue blogging! -this was "cheezy"...
